Hollywood goes Provence: George and Amal Clooney to launch their first wines

After purchasing a vineyard in Provence in 2021, the Clooney couple will release the first wines from their domaine this spring.

Hollywood actor George Clooney and his wife took over the Domaine de Canadel estate in 2021. The Domaine is located in beautiful Provence and covers around 170 hectares of land, of which 25 hectares are vineyards. According to French media reports, the couple are expected to launch their first wines on the market this spring. These will be the first white and rosé wines to be produced on the estate near the small southern French town of Brignoles and will bear the Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation.

Like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and George Lucas, the celebrity couple works with French wine producer Laurence Berlemont. Berlement, who planted both vines and olive groves on the Clooneys' estate around two decades ago, will remain a farmer and winemaker there. Together with her, George and Amal Clooney will launch the first wines associated with the Domaine de Canadel. The couple are keeping the name of their wines to themselves for the time being. The Hollywood couple will certainly build up a new brand with their wines, which is guaranteed to be a success for the Nespresso face Clooney.
