It sounds like the stuff of dreams – a top chef serves a luxurious gourmet menu to selected guests on a remote island, elevating it to an art form. But all is not as tasty as it seems...
The film will not be released until November, but the trailer for The Menu gives a first glimpse of the dark atmosphere pervading the gourmet thriller with The Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter).
Fiennes plays a mysterious star chef who invites a handpicked selection of guests to a sinister island to serve them a gourmet menu that is quite something. Under the motto of "molecular cuisine", he elevates cooking to a fine art. But as the trailer suggests, the delicious tide quickly turns and one begins to wonder what is actually on the plates produced by the chef, who is worshipped like a cult leader by his staff. Margot, played by Taylor-Joy, finds it all creepy from the start.
The Menu is set for release in theatres on 18 November, 2022
