Tinazzi in Puglia focuses on sustainability and quality

Advertorial

Cantina San Giorgio di Faggiano (TA), the Apulian winery of the Tinazzi wine group, has obtained the prestigious Equalitas certification for the second year in a row.

Equalitas is a well known certification for sustainability in the wine sector, recognized by the CSQA certification body, which covers not only environmental protection but also the ethical, social and economic aspects of the term.

The Tinazzi family has its roots in the Veneto region of Lake Garda and has been running the eponymous winery for more than 50 years. The founder, Gian Andrea, decided in 2001, after a trip to Puglia, to invest in this region famous for viticulture but still little known, and bought a dozen hectares in Alto Salento. Two decades have passed and today the Apulian reality of Tinazzi consists of Feudo Croce, a farm in Carosino in the province of Taranto surrounded by more than 30 hectares of vineyards, and San Giorgio in Faggiano (TA), a winery completed in 2020 and characterized by the most modern winemaking and bottling technology.

From the wonderful Masseria Feudo Croce comes the line dedicated to the traditional Apulian wines Primitivo di Manduria dop, Primitivo igp and Negroamaro igp, to which the company will add two important novelties in 2023. Among them, the best-selling and multiple award-winning Primitivo di Manduria dop »Imperio LXXIV«, an iconic full-bodied red wine that is one of the most representative of the region, is now very well known. Aged in oak barrels, it maintains the fruitiness of ripe cherries and plums, but also gives off pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. It is the most awarded wine of the Apulian production, a complex, important wine that goes well with strong first courses, lamb and red meats in general, and hard cheeses.

However, the Tinazzi family has also thought of those who prefer less demanding wines, suitable for everyday use and easier to combine. This is how the »Nyktòs« Aglianico Puglia IGP and the »Dysmè« Fiano Puglia IGP were born.

Niktos is a pleasant and drinkable red wine, perfect for enjoying in convivial gatherings. The taste is characterized by delicate tannins and persistent fruitiness. Try it with soups with legumes, stuffed pasta and pasta dishes with meat sauce.

Dysmè is a white wine of intense straw yellow color, with a pleasant bouquet of exotic fruits and pronounced herbaceous and floral characteristics.  It is the ideal companion to seafood and first. It goes particularly well with main courses with fish, but also with pizza and focaccia!
