What to know about Frontier’s Unlimited Flight Pass

In addition to their popular summer pass, Frontier has announced a winter version allowing passengers unlimited flights for a one-time price.

Frontier Airlines has recently experienced increased popularity thanks to its unlimited summer flight pass which was launched in February, with which travellers can fly to more than 100 destinations as many times as they like over the busy summer months. To build upon this offer and encourage travel in the autumn and winter period, the airline announced the new Go Wild! All You Can Fly Fall & Winter Pass at the start of June. A limited number of these tickets have initially been released for just $299, and after they sell out, further passes will be available for $999. The only additional cost travellers will need to pay is 1 cent for each flight they book, plus any applicable taxes and fees, such as extra baggage or seating.

The pass will be valid for all travel between September 2, 2023 and February 29, 2024, although blackout periods do apply. Once customers have purchased the pass, they will be able to log into Frontier’s website to book flights. The airline has also confirmed that flights must be booked within certain windows – for domestic travel, with 24 hours before the flight, and for international travel, up to 10 days before. When booking through Frontier, passengers will only be allowed to book one one-way flight at a time, meaning passengers may need to book return tickets while at their new destination. Anyone purchasing the new winter pass should note that the purchase is a subscription service, meaning it will renew the following year at $999 if it is not cancelled.

The new pass gives passengers the options of flying unlimited almost year-round, should they opt to buy more than one of Frontier’s flight passes. The summer pass, which costs $499, is still available for 2023 and is valid for flights until September 30. In addition to this, Frontier offers an unlimited annual pass, which is slightly more costly at $1,999 but allows for uncapped flights until May 2. 2024. Frontier currently flies to destinations across the USA, Canada, Caribbean and Latin America, and based on the increasing cost of flights, many people are expected to take advantage of Frontier’s offer. It remains to be seen whether the pass will be successful and catch on with other airlines, however, Japan’s Starflyer airline has recently announced a similar offering, which provides unlimited flights to for just under $300 for those under 26, or $1000 for older customers.
