Weingut Wey

Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2024

Susanne and Tim Wey from Weingut Wey know what they are doing: they want to produce "uncomplicated and authentic wines for every occasion" from 30 hectares of vines, mainly on red slate soils. In addition to Riesling, the grape varieties include Kerner, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. The winegrowing family has been cultivating vines since 1795 and rightly describes itself as "true to its Mosel roots". We were most impressed by the "Alte Reben" Riesling, which surpasses the aforementioned with its mineral profile.
