Balenciaga Debuts Travel Pillow Costing More Than €500

The fashion house has been undergoing a revival in the hands of creative director Demna Gvasalia. Its show at Paris Fashion Week mixed couture with pop culture by featuring a special 10-minute episode of The Simpsons in which the cartoon characters travelled to Paris to walk the Balenciaga runway. The Guardian reported Gvasalia has been a fan of the Simpsons since his childhood in the former Soviet Union. Those coveting the Balenciaga travel pillow might want to get in quick – a €95 water bottle and the black version of a €250 nylon shopper bag are already out of stock.

Sweet dreams indeed. Fashion house Balenciaga, which recently brought The Simpsons to Paris Fashion Week, has debuted a luxe hoodie-travel pillow retailing for more than €500. The black pillow includes a hood with a drawstring and is made of "medium fleece cotton".

The pillow part of the accessory, designed to support the neck, is attached and has a snap closure, according to Balenciaga's website. And in a very cool move, Hypebeast noted, the pillow has no obvious branding, which means only jet-setting fashionistas in the know will be able to identity it.
