Brewdog opens a bar in Central London

UK

Scottish craft brewer will open its largest premises on 18 August, with Brewdog Waterloo featuring a bar, restaurant and even a podcast studio.

The brewery and pub chain Brewdog opens its largest ever bar on 18 August in the new Waterloo Station in Central London. This location of the Scottish craft beer producer, with an area of 27,500 sq ft over two floors, will feature a bar, restaurant, micro-brewery, café, bowling alleys, meetings rooms, co-working spaces and a floristry. It will be located at The Sidings, a new shopping centre in Waterloo Station.

There will be a fully-equipped podcast studio, with Brewdog giving away 100 free recording slots to podcast creators. The new location will also feature a cocktail hideaway with a secret entrance, where the brewer collaborates with London mixologist Rich Woods, known as the “The Cocktail Guy”.

Line-up of bands and DJ sets

Brewdog Waterloo opens to the public on Thursday, 18 August at noon. The first 200 people will have a chance to win a pair of tickets to visit Brewdog Las Vegas. The opening weekend will also feature a musical line-up of bands and DJ sets.

“This is our new flagship bar for London, so we are making it a true destination”, said co-founder James Watt in a press release.

Brewdog was founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, who together own 46 per cent of the company. It now has more than 100 bars globally and exports to 60 countries worldwide. Revenues went up 21 per cent to £286m in the past financial year.
