Civilised Sundays Return at Top London Restaurant

Ravinder Bhogal's restaurant Jikoni will run a third series of its 'Civilised Sundays' food and speaker programme.

So civilised
Ravinder Bhogal's much-lauded London restaurant Jikoni has announced the third series of its 'Civilised Sundays' programme. TV presenter Anita Rani, food writer Claudia Roden and musician Anoushka Shankar will be the first three guests in the speaking line-up. "Ravinder will serve a feast that celebrates her guest with a dedicated menu whilst they discuss their backgrounds, careers and heritage" the Marylebone restaurant said on its website.

Cooking across borders
Ravinder Bhogal celebrated a year since her cookbook Jikoni: Proudly Inauthentic Recipes from an Immigrant Kitchen, was published on August 15 with her friend, food critic and broadcaster Jay Rayner. Jikoni describes its cooking as “mixed-heritage” or “cooking across borders”. 'Civilised Sundays‘ starts in September and will feature speakers from the worlds of food, literature, music, and the arts.
