Disney Cruise Line Resumes US Sailings from Florida

From August, the Disney Cruise Line will resume its three- and four-night cruises sailing from Florida to the Bahamas.

Ready for the return
Disney Dream will be the company’s first cruise with paying customers to depart from Port Canaveral, Florida on August 9 to the Bahamas. Disney Cruise Line does not require vaccinations for guests on sailings departing from Florida as the state law prohibits cruise lines from requiring documentation of Covid-19 vaccine. However, other health and safety measures are enforced.

"We are resuming sailing in a gradual, phased approach that emphasizes multiple layers of health and safety measures, developed in consideration of guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other medical experts," Disney Cruise Line stated.

New health and safety requirements

  • All non-vaccinated passengers are required to go through and pay for a pre-embarkation PCR test..
  • Face covering is mandatory for guests aged two and older on the ship and at terminals, except for some designated areas such as restaurants.
  • To minimise direct contact with crew members, passengers are encouraged to use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator mobile app to communicate.
  • Ship capacity will be reduced to allow for more social distancing.
