Séverine Frerson is the cellar master of Champagne Perrier-Jouët in Épernay. Born in Champagne but not into the wine industry, Frerson's passion for wine was awakened by a family friend who was a winemaker. She graduated from Reims university and joined the houses of Piper-Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck right away, working her way up to become cellar master in 2016. In 2018 she joined Perrier-Jouët to become only the 8th cellar master in the house's history and the first woman to hold that role in the house's 200-year-history.
