Falstaff Germany Wine Guide Now Available in English

The first English edition of the Falstaff Wine Guide to Germany has been published.

Two-thousand wine tips from 550 wineries...the Falstaff Wine Guide Germany describes the best, the most unusual and the most prestigious wines that Germany's cellars have to offer.

As Falstaff owner and publisher Wolfgang Rosam says in his editorial, the 322 page guide is intended to be "a bridge for wine lovers from all over the world to German wine, and for German vintners to their customers in all export markets".

Falstaff released its first wine guide to Germany in 2013, Weinguide Deutschland 2014, but this is the first time the respected annual guide is being released in English.

This fits perfectly with Germany's buoyant wine landscape. German wines achieved record export results in 2021, with sales rising 29% to €357 million. There was also a rise in the average price, indicating that international markets are increasingly focused on the type of high-quality wines covered in the Falstaff Wine Guide.

The guide was translated from German by Artemis Burger and James Wright. There will be a print run of 4,000 copies distributed internationally in the next few weeks. The books will be available at Vinitaly in Verona in April and at ProWein in Düsseldorf in May.
