Falstaff Launches Its First International Print Magazine

Falstaff is delighted to release the first print issue of its standout wine, food and travel magazine.

We are delighted to release the first print issue of Falstaff International Magazine

We, Falstaff International, are a new magazine dedicated to winefood and travel.

Headquartered in Vienna, Falstaff International is edited in London and distributed globally. Our digital issue was published in July 2021 and this month sees the first print edition of Falstaff International with a circulation of 100,000 copies. Not only will it be available at international newsstands in 27 countries, but also in the world's leading fine-dining restaurants, exclusive wine bars and selected hotels, as well as in premium airport lounges.

Readers across the globe can also look forward to a comprehensive digital edition. In 2022, four quarterly print and e-magazine editions will be published.

Falstaff International is the first foray into English language publishing by premier media conglomerate Falstaff Publishing. Originally founded in 1980 as a wine magazine in Austria, Falstaff has firmly established itself as the leading media platform in its segment in German-speaking Europe with leading publications and websites across Germany, Austria and Switzerland with an audited combined print circulation of 142,000.

In addition, Falstaff publishes authoritative annual wine guides in all three countries reflecting and representing the local wine and gastronomy sectors. The renowned German and Austrian guides also appear in English.

Falstaff International: The first print edition

Led by Editor-in-Chief Anne Krebiehl (Master of Wine), the first print issue of Falstaff Magazine features 208 pages of exciting wine, food and travel news and features. The theme is exploration and we have it all covered.

"Falstaff International is dedicated to the joyful trinity of wine, food and travel. This focus is reflected in engaging features, interviews and profiles, in-depth reports and essays. Authentic and relevant stories from international experts make Falstaff International a leading global publication." Anne Krebiehl says.

Falstaff International is aimed at readers with an appetite for the finer things in life who appreciate when their food, wine and travel writing comes with a dose of humour and intellect.

The People

Anne Krebiehl MW edits the publication from London and joins longstanding editors Peter Moser (Austria), Dr Ulrich Sautter (Germany), Othmar Kiem (Italy), Dominik Vombach and Benjamin Herzog (both Switzerland) from the Austrian, German and Swiss editions. They are all recognised and experienced tasters in their respective fields, who have made Falstaff into the leading publications in its segment in their respective countries.

The Second Digital Edition

The inaugural digital issue was published in July 2021 and this month sees the second digital issue published together with the print issue. We report on the global love affair with Pinot Noir, take a deep dive into fine Champagne and sparkling wines for the festive season and present the world’s 100 most iconic red wines. Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, cellar master of Champagne Louis Roederer and the critically acclaimed author of the novel Sideways Rex Pickett are our star columnists.

The travel and food pages have a distinctly Japanese flavour with features on sushi, Tokyo and ryokans, there is also plenty of snow talk with a global skiing feature and a trip to the Caribbean with rum. Falstaff International’s writers and columnists provide food for thought as well as inspiration.
