"Heaven for Wine Lovers" Prepares to Open in Switzerland

Prestigious London wine club 67 Pall Mall is opening its first European outpost in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier on Dec. 4.

67 Pall Mall Verbier will be the first European opening of the members’ club described by wine expert Jancis Robinson as a "heaven for wine lovers". The club, located just down from the Médran lift, will have more than 3,000 wines on its list, of which a third will be Swiss, and a 500-strong by-the-glass list.

"Members can enjoy the largest wine list in Switzerland, a menu of modern European fare and club favourites in our clubroom, sunny terrace, and bar à vin," 67 Pall Mall said, adding that in-house brewed beer will also be available.

The menu at the two-storey club will feature favourites from the London club as well as the creations of chef, Jérôme Henry, formerly head chef at Londons Mosimann’s Private Dining Club and Les Trois Garçons.

67 Pall Mall already operates clubs in London and Singapore and plans to open one in Burgundy's wine capital, Beaune, in 2023. Drinks Business has reported that it is also eyeing opening a Bordeaux outlet in the future.

A basic annual membership of 67 Pall Mall London costs £1,750/US$2,300 and a life membership £25,000.
