It’s Now or Never if you want Elvis’s private jet!

The King’s Lockheed Jetstar will go up for auction in January.

It may not be in flying condition but it would seem the perfect purchase for any Elvis fan – so long as they’ve got plenty of cash to part with!

While there has been no guide price mentioned for the 1962 Lockheed 1329 Jetstar, it cost Elvis Presley $840,000 back in December 1976 – just a few months before his untimely death at the age of 42 – and when it was last sold it 2017, a private investor paid $430,000 (€400,000) for the non-flying aircraft.

It was one of several private jets purchased by Elvis, two being currently on display at Graceland including Lisa Marie, the 1958 Convair 880 he named after his daughter.

But it’s the Lockheed that’s for sale, with custom-made interior featuring red velvet, deep-pile carpets, wood panelling and six passenger swivel chairs, forming part of cabin seating for up to nine occupants. Unfortunately, there is no engine or replacement parts included in the sale and the aircraft will need disassembly for shipping.
