Jameson Releases 21 Year Old Whiskey

The whiskey maker is releasing a limited edition Jameson 21 Years for purchase via an online ballot.

Jameson is signing off 2021 by releasing a limited edition 21 year old whiskey. Just over 2,300 bottles of the Jameson 21 Years are available for whiskey fans to purchase via an online ballot. Jameson 21 Years is a blend of rare single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys that were matured in a range of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry seasoned casks at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork for 18 years.

The whiskeys were then blended and re-casked into freshly emptied ex-bourbon barrels for another three years. "Bottled at cask strength, this 57.2% ABV high-quality expression brings dried fruit notes and character to the fore, resulting in a spicy and full-bodied whiskey that celebrates the Jameson’s unmistakably smooth DNA," the whiskey maker said.

The 2,301 bottles will be exclusively available through an online ballot, priced at €310/US$355 each, which opened to the public on Thursday, November 11th.
