Limited Edition Single Cask Strength Lambay Whiskey

Just 409 bottles are available of the new limited edition whiskey from the Irish island of Lambay. The finish in a cognac cask adds character and elegance.

Lambay Single Malt is a triple-distilled malt whiskey that matures in bourbon casks and is stored in cognac casks in the special Sea Cask Room on Lambay Island. Unique and exclusive, the new Single Cask Strength has the pure taste of island life. Cask 2545 is the fifth release of 20 in this exclusive premium cask programme and is limited to just 409 bottles.

Just as the seasons have imbued the casks with unique maritime notes, the whiskey has also interacted with the wood to absorb the aromatic profiles of these casks. All the cognac barrels used to finish this whiskey have been handpicked by leading cognac house Camus for their rich aromatic profile and intense concentration.

Sea spray and salt

The warehouse on the west coast of Lambay offers perfect conditions for maturation. The island has its own microclimate, which is always one to two degrees warmer than on the mainland and is perfect for cask maturation. During the maturation of the Lambay Single Malt, the wood is infused with sea spray, iodine, brine and the island's natural botanicals.

Aged for at least seven years and full of woody and floral notes, the single malt's triple distillation and long maturation in cognac casks on Lambay makes for a surprisingly sweet, long-lasting and smooth finish - especially for this high-proof whiskey.
