Luxury Cruise Line Cunard Reports Busiest Booking Day in a Decade

The luxury UK cruise line has reported that the first day of bookings for its new Queen Anne ship proved to be the busiest in a decade.

Queen Anne’s maiden cruise, a seven-night sailing from Southampton in the UK has sold out with Cunard reporting its busiest booking day in a decade. Cunard's 249th ship will sail from Southampton in January 2024 to Lisbon, after which it will cruise around Mediterranean cities, Caribbean islands and northern Europe.

"Since we began to unveil details of our fourth ship, the reaction to Queen Anne from guests and travel advisors alike has been phenomenal," said Matt Gleaves from Cunard.  "The first day of sales shows the incredible strength of demand for our new ship and the Cunard brand is at record levels."

Carrying up to 3,000 guests and approximately 1,245 crew, Cunard's newest ship will make up a quartet of Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth. This will be the first time since 1999 that Cunard, owned by Carnival Corporation, has had four ships at sea.
