Man claims new world record for most pub visits in one day

UK

A man claims to have set a new world record after visiting 67 different bars in Brighton, England over 24 hours.

Nathan Crimp, a 22-year-old recruitment manager, is claiming to have beaten a world record by visiting 67 pubs in one day. Within 17 hours, he walked more than 29 kilometres with two friends during a pub crawl which finally ended at 4am on Sunday morning.

According to the Daily Mail, Nathan was sponsored to complete the pub crawl challenge to raise money for Dogs Trust, the largest shelter charity in the UK, in memory of his former Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

"The plan was to try and keep it sober for the first 25 pubs, but that went out the window 15 pubs in. I had to mix it up a little bit, I tried to drink alcohol in one and non-alcoholic drink in another –trying to space it out,” he shared with the Liverpool Echo.

The current Guinness World Record for the most pubs visited was set by Gareth Murphy (UK), who visited 56 pubs on February 4-5, 2022.
