MSC Cruises’ Newest Ship to Make Debut in Bahamas Next Month

A glamorous event
On November 18, MSC Seashore will be officially named in a traditional maritime naming ceremony at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas. Hollywood star Sophia Loren will perform the role of Godmother as she christens her 16th ship with MSC Cruises.
Seashore is the longest ship of MSC Cruises’ fleet, at 339 metres. The ship offers 13,000sqm of outdoor space, more than any other MSC ship. The company has different offers from mini cruises, and regular seven-night sailings to 11 night cruises.

Ready to sail
The ship will leave the US and head to San Juan in Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie in St Thomas, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic; and finally, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas, MSC Cruises’ new private island destination. It was opened in 2019 and closed shortly after due to Covid-19. The brand said it is “an opportunity for MSC Cruises to showcase the island to the invitees on this occasion.”
