Private Jet Travel: Are You Willing to Pay $3000 to See Meteor Showers?

Verijet, a private airline launched in 2020, is disrupting the aviation industry by offering unique flight experiences.

Jet Safaris by Verijet
US-based private jet company Verijet is offering to take customers to 31,000 ft/9449 m to see some of the most impressive natural phenomena – the Perseid meteor showers. They occur every year around July 17 to August 24. The unique flight experience will cost you around $3000 per hour. More itineraries are being added as Verijet is planning jet safaris to observe polar bear migrations in the Arctic Circle.

Private travel on the rise
Verijet is “enabling extraordinary experiences and adventures in remote parts of the planet off the beaten path," chairman and CEO Richard Kane told Thrillist. The Florida-based company expanded its business recently to more than 5000 US airports, offering regular charter flights as well as luxury tourist experiences.

During the pandemic, flying privately has become more appealing as wealthy customers shun commercial aircraft due to health risks. “Those who previously considered private flying a luxury now see it as a necessary means of travel,” said Lee Applbaum, chief marketing officer at Wheels Up, one of the largest private aviation operators in the US.
