Savoia Americano Rosso launches in the US

Innovative vermouth drink from Turin now available in America.

Described as a ‘bold, bittersweet reinvention of the classic serve’, Aperitivo Savoia Americano Rosso is launching in the US, a drink crafted by blending white wine with 14-month oak aged Marsala fine wine, the blend then flavoured with 20 botanicals including mandarin orange, gentian root and rhubarb.

Linking up with renowned food and retail group Eataly and distributor Panebianco Wines, the drink will be available in New York and New Jersey and through Eataly Flatiron and at Serra Rooftop, both in Manhattan.

Despite being based on a recipe dating back to the 19th century, the vino aperitivo was created by renowned liqueur innovator Giuseppe Gallo in 2021 in a historical artisanal distillery in Turin, and is currently available in ten European countries. It is suitable for vegans and combines amaro (bitter) and dolce (sweet) vermouth to create a drink that can be enjoyed alone, with a mixer or as part of a cocktail.

Eataly is an ambassador for Italian food and drink, promoting the sale of high-quality Italian products in some of world’s high-end venues – expanding its presence in areas such as North America. Savoia Americano Rosso can be purchased in 500ml bottles from retailers for US$24.90.
