Singapore Airlines Adds more Flights to Destinations in Asia, North America and Europe

In response to the strong demand for air travel, Singapore’s flag carrier airline will increase its services to Japan, India, Los Angeles and Paris.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) wants to offer customers more flexibility and options in the Northern Winter operating season, which starts on 30 October 2022. The SIA Group’s operating capacity is projected to reach around 81% of pre-pandemic levels by December 2022. SIA will increase services to Japan and India and will also add more flights to Los Angeles and Paris by December 2022. The airline’s direct services to Vancouver will continue.

»By stepping up services into the Northern Winter season, we give our customers even more flight options as they make their travel plans over the next few months«, said JoAnn Tan, Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines. The company wants to monitor the demand for air travel and adjust its services accordingly.

Details of the new services in Asia

From 24 July 2022, flights SQ634 to Haneda Airport and SQ638 to Narita International Airport, both in Tokyo, Japan, will become daily services. SIA will then operate three daily services into Japan’s capital, up from 14 flights per week.

Singapore Airlines will also progressively increase its operations to Chennai in India. Flights to the Indian city will rise from the airline’s current ten flights per week to 17 weekly flights. Services to Kochi will double from seven to 14 flights a week. Bengaluru services will go up to 16 times a week, up from its current seven flights per week. The airline will operate at almost 100% of its pre-Covid operating capacity to India by the end of October 2022.

Flights to North America and Europe increase too

From 30 November 2022, SQ36 will operate as a daily non-stop flight to Los Angeles in addition to the current daily SQ38 service. Singapore Airlines will operate 21 weekly services to Los Angeles, including its daily one-stop service through Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.

From 1 December 2022, SQ332 will operate from Singapore to Paris five times a week, up from its current three times a week service. The French capital will receive 12 weekly flights, up from its current seven flights per week.

The airline will continue its thrice-weekly SQ48 direct service to Vancouver in the Northern Winter operating season.
