The Luxurious Hotel Brand Six Senses Opens in Ibiza

Six Senses Ibiza, one of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas collection, just opened on Xarraca Bay in Ibiza with villas and suites across a 20-acre/ 8-hectare site.

The year-round property
This first sustainable BREEAM-certified resort in the Balearics is designed to “celebrate” sustainability throughout the seasons. The resort features four organic restaurants led by celebrity chef Eyal Shani, a cinema and open-air stage with Sonus Faber technology for a mixed programme live shows, events and new artist sessions. There also is a fitness centre, an outdoor boxing ring and a yoga deck.

Sustainable designed
“Six Senses Ibiza is a reflection of the natural vibrations and vitality of the Balearics,” architect and developer Jonathan Leitersdorf said. “By channelling the destination’s unique sense of community and celebration, we have created a truly transformative environment wherein guests are invited to meaningfully connect with nature, each other, and themselves while discovering the elements that make Ibiza unlike anywhere else in the world.”

Up to 51% of its power usage is generated by Six Senses Ibiza’s own renewable energy source. There also is a zero waste and zero single-use plastic target. It is the Balearic Islands’ first resort and residential community to achieve certification by BREEAM, the world's leading sustainability assessment method for master-planning projects, infrastructure and buildings.
