The Ned Will Open First Hotel & Members' Club in NYC

London's The Ned hotel & members' club will open its first international property, in Manhattan in summer 2022.

The Ned, housed in a historic former banking hall in the City of London, consists of private members’ club Ned’s Club, alongside nine restaurants and about 250 hotel rooms. The Ned is expanding in summer 2022 to include The Ned NoMad in New York, it said on its website.

The Caterer reports it will be in the Johnston Building in Manhattan. The property dates back to 1903, and most recently housed The NoMad New York until it closed this year. The property will offer a mix of members-only and public spaces, including 167 bedrooms, a public bar and restaurant, and a member's club with a rooftop bar and terrace restaurant.

The Ned is part of the Soho House empire, which was founded by Nick Jones and now has 27 private members' clubs in 10 countries. It is a favourite with celebrities, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who reportedly went to its Dean Street Townhouse in London on their first date.
