The annual Time Out ranking reveals the coolest streets around the world for 2022, with Canada's Montreal claiming the top spot.
Time Out asked 20,000 city-dwellers for the coolest streets and then got its local experts to narrow down the shortlist.
Rue Wellington in Montreal, Quebec, was a surprise first-place winner. "When a street is bookended by one of the best bars and one of the best new restaurants in the city, there’s no questioning its cool factor – especially when the city in question is one of the world’s gastronomic capitals," Time Out said.
Gertrude Street in Melbourne, Australia took second place while Scotland represented Europe in the top three, with Glasgow's Great Western Road taking bronze.
Streets in the Asia-Pacific region were well represented in the top 10. Yongkang Street in Taipei (4th place), Karangahape Road, Auckland (6th), Tai Ping Shan Street, Hong Kong (7th) and Yaowarat Road in Bangkok (8th).
Copenhagen was home to the fifth coolest street, Værnedamsve, while Berlin's Oranienstrasse came ninth. The highest ranking US street was Hayes Street, San Francisco in 10th place.
