UK's Nyetimber Launches Wine & Seeds Gift Box

UK winery Nyetimber is supporting the 'Bees Lines' campaign in the UK by selling a gift box with its Classic Cuvée and a packet of seeds.

One of England's leading sparkling wine producers, Nyetimber, has launched a special gift box in a bid to encourage people to create their own wildflower gardens to support bees and butterflies.

The box contains a bottle of Nyetimber's Classic Cuvée accompanied by a ‘Beebomb’ sachet containing 18 species of native wildflower seeds, mixed with soil and protective clay.

The company, which has eleven vineyards spanning West Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, is supporting the South Downs National Park Trust on its ‘Bee Lines’ campaign, which seeks to restore the habitats of under threat pollinators across the South Downs.

"Purchasers or recipients of this beautiful combination are encouraged to give back to nature and create their own diverse wildflower garden at home. In addition, for every bottle of Classic Cuvée sold with the ‘Beebomb’ sachet, Nyetimber will donate £5 to the ‘Bee Lines’ campaign," Nyetimber says in a statement.

The crucial role of pollinators like bees and butterflies in supporting the diversity of the South Downs has been threatened by the ongoing deterioration of the area’s iconic chalk grasslands. The ‘Bee Lines’ project seeks to restore these vital natural habitats by planting new wildflower corridors to connect pockets of species-rich grasslands.

The Nyetimber South Downs Bee Lines Gift box retails for £46 and can be purchased here
