The online guide 50 Top Italy features the best of Italian cuisine with restaurants and chefs from all around the world ranked by an assortment of critics. This year, 23 countries are represented in the rankings. Outside of Italy, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto holds the title of the best Italian restaurant in the world. Fiola in Washington DC, US comes in second and Da Vittorio Shanghai in China.

Round out the top ten, Il Lago in the Swiss city of Geneva is pegged at sixth position.  Luca Fantin Restaurant in Tokyo, Japan comes seventh trailed by Locanda Locatelli (London), Restaurant Passerini (Paris) and Tèrra (Denmark).
