Wine Vision by Open Balkan – Belgrade plays host to the region’s first International Wine Fair

The largest four-day wine fair comes to Belgrade, with one of the most important economic and social initiatives to connect the Western Balkan countries – Open Balkan – beginning to produce tangible results.

The first international wine fair, “Wine Vision by Open Balkan”, will take place in Belgrade from September 1-4, 2022. The fair will cross the Balkan wine routes in a unique way and gather the best wine producers of the region, organised under the auspices of the governments of Serbia, Northern Macedonia and Albania, as part of the Open Balkans initiative.

Belgrade is the wine centre of the Balkans

The aim is to celebrate the excellent craftsmanship of winemakers in producing the best wines, and to promote a unique combination of flavours and aromas that represent the spirit of the Balkans – its geography and its richness of varieties.

More than 250 exhibitors from Serbia, Albania and Northern Macedonia, as well as Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Chile, Argentina, California, South Africa, Georgia, Moldova and other world leaders in wine and viticulture, are expected at the Belgrade fair.

As the capital of selected wines, Belgrade will see the most influential winemakers, winegrowers, cellar masters, oenologists, sommeliers and wine merchants gather during this fair, as well as exhibitors from the most famous European and world wineries.
