France’s Oldest Champagne House Launches "Sun-Drenched" Wine

Champagne Gosset, whose winemaking history dates back to 1584, has released its Grand Millésime from 2015 vintage, a warm and sunny year.

Known for the elegant and sleek style of their wines, Gosset have managed to turn a sunny and very warm year into a super-fresh wine. It is the aromatics that speak of the summer heat with an abundance of fruit, the body of the wine, however, is as sleek as ever.

The blend

The Grand Millésime 2015 Brut is a blend of 59% Pinot Noir and 41% Chardonnay sourced from villages across Champagne: Ambonnay, Avenay, Avize, Bisseuil, Chavot, Cramant, Moussy, Noé-les-Mallets, Pierry, Trépail, Verzy, Villers-Marmery. It enjoyed five and a half years on lees and was disgorged in November 2021 with a dosage of 4g/l.
