Nammos: World Class Cuisine

Alessandra Ambrosio, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande ... the list of celebrity fans goes on and on. Launched in 2003, the glamorous beach club concept Nammos is poised to continue its triumph around the world – helipad, yacht shuttle, private plunge pools, and caviar menu included.

When Kyriakos Angeletakis and his wife Eleni opened a little restaurant at Psarou Beach in the 1960s, they had no idea that they were laying the foundations for the most luxurious party location on Mykonos. It took a few years, and when their son Andreas took over in 1985 business was sluggish. Not many tourists found their way to Mykonos in those days, and the few who came mainly stayed in Chora, the island’s capital, as there was no infrastructure at Psarou Beach – not then, anyway. That changed abruptly when the two local businessmen Zannis Frantzeskos and Konstantis Kousathanas teamed up with Egyptian chef Sammy Ibrahim to take over the restaurant: Nammos (English: sand) was born. Relaxed beats provided the soundtrack for the backdrop to a perfect summer’s day.
