Tozi Grand Cafe opens on December 12

The atmosphere and culinary style of a European café can be experienced at the new Battersea Power Station.

Battersea Power Station reopened on October 14 and has been named one of the most exciting hubs in London to explore this Christmas. The renovated venue offers shopping and leisure facilities including Glide, London´s newest ice rink, and also boasts a number of fresh food outlets, one of which aims to create the atmosphere and culinary style of the European Grand Cafes: Tozi Grand Cafe is set to open on Monday, December 12, as part of the new art´otel, a hotel located within Battersea Roof Gardens, which opens on the same day. It is the third restaurant from the Tozi team, and the second in London, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Battersea Power Station and an alfresco terrace.

Executive Head Chef Lee Streeton and Maurillio Molteni, Head Chef of Tozi Victoria, have developed an all-day dining concept based on Europe´s famous cafés. Breakfast will feature Italian takes on brunch, such as ‘baked eggs, spianata piccante, puttanesca, potatoes’, whilst for Afternoon Tea from 3pm, ‘Pasticceria Mignon’ will be offered. Favourites from other Tozi restaurants, including ‘veal Milanese’ and ‘lobster linguine’. will be available for lunch and dinner, while sharing cicchetti, such as ‘beef carpaccio, pickled mushrooms & parmesan’ and ‘baked scallop with nduja’ will be served all day alongside salads and antipasti. There will also be an aperitivo menu, including barrel-aged Negronis, Bellinis, or seasonal spritzes, and an all-Italian wine list matched to the food offering.

Tozi is part of PPHE Hotel Group and has its other London restaurant in Victoria; the third restaurant of this brand name is located in Amsterdam. PPHE will open ‘art´otel London Battersea Power Station’, its first hotel of this brand in the UK, on December 12. The group has plans for several other hotels in the UK.
