At the top of the list: Zurich is the best city for an active vacation in Europe

Whether hiking on the Uetliberg, running along Lake Zurich or cycling with a view of the Alpine peaks: Zurich has far more than chocolate and banks. It also offers the best conditions for a sporty city break. This has now been confirmed by a new study by car rental company Avis, which analyzed 100 European cities in terms of their suitability for outdoor fitness – with a clear result: Switzerland's Zurich offers the most to active vacationers.
