The white wine »Episcopus« Riesling trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Bischöfliches Weingut Rüdesheim GmbH has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
A small whiff of purgatory jumps out of the glass: a touch of sulphur, graphite, smoke and flint - hardly any fruit to be found. In the mouth it's very harmonious, with a good acidity balancing the subtle sweetness. Fruit arrives in the form of juicy gooseberries and white currants in the finish. Fine work.
