The white wine Mauchen Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Lämmlin-Schindler has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Green and reductive on the nose, it needs air and is best poured directly into a Burgundy glass or decanted sufficiently. Fine notes of camomile and lemongrass then emerge, paired with some beeswax, green fennel and ripe pears, later also coffee. Juicy and taut on the palate, with a chalky texture, creamy and at the same time lively with a long finish.
