Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2024

As a "flying winemaker", Gerd Stepp has seen a lot of the wine world before settling in the Pfalz and founding his winery. Stepp is a winemaker who leaves nothing to chance, neither in the vineyard nor in the cellar. His modern winemaking also characterises the style of his wines, which are never harsh and angular, but smooth with polished tannins and style, such as the elegant Pinot Noir "Buntsandstein" or the mineral Saumagen Riesling. The Chardonnay was inspired more by Bourgogne: a contender for the second star.
