Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2022/23

The beginnings of winemaking at Il Borro on the hills of the Arno Valley date back to 1995. Here the unique pedoclimatic conditions, the mild winters and the excellent position of the vineyards allow the production of quality wines. Since 2015, the winery produces according to organic guidelines.

Grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah adapt well to the variability of the soils. The 85 hectares of vineyards are located between 300 and 500 meters above sea level. In 2020 a new tunnel was built dedicated to the barrels, amphorae and Pupitres.
