This is the first time Max Geitlinger presents his wine and immediately turns out to be a great gain. On just two hectares he grows predominantly Spätburgunder, Gutedel and Müller-Thurgau – very much in tune with nature. “My wines are created by the interaction of tradition and innovation, of passion and time,” he writes. The carefully hand-harvested grapes ferment with natural yeast, are given time to mature and are bottled without filtration. This way of working resulted in down-to-earth and yet filigree wines with lots of character. Taste this! The best way to do that is in the Gasthof Hirschen, which forms part of the estate.
