Poggio Argentiera was founded in 1997 with the purchase of the Adua farm, which dates back to the early 20th century, the time of the reclamation of the Maremma. The original 6 hectares were used for the production of Morellino di Scansano, then the new winery was built and in 2001 the property was expanded with the purchase of another farm, Keeling, in the hilly area of the municipality of Scansano. New plantations were added to the old and valuable vineyards, so that today the company has 20 hectares of land belonging to the DOCG Morellino.
