When Siegbert Bimmerle took over the family Weingut in 1986, there were six hectares of vines. Currently, there are 135 hectares across an area stretching 90km: they are in the northern end of the subregion of Ortenau, via the Rench valley, the Durbach valley all the way to the southern Ortenau and into the northern end of the Breisgau subregion. This extended area of sites with different soils creates a plethora of flavours. Cellar master Philipp Milke makes fresh and precise wines. His “Réserve” range scores with proper substance and complexity. A most inviting collection!
