Living soil, old vines, exceptional wine - this is what the name Gschweicher from Röschitz stands for. The winery of the Gschweicher family follows its own style and careful direction with precision and varietal typicity.
The winery has always been a white wine business, specializing in Grüner Veltliner and various aromatic varieties in different stages of development. However, the "Weinviertel Plus" winery also produces Riesling in three styles. Without much technical intervention, the various vinification stages are decided depending on the sites and the different states of ripeness of the grapes. A living soil is the most important foundation for the style of the wines.
Three quarters of the Grüner Veltliner vines are over 50 years old. The premium wine of the house is the powerful, mineral "Primary Rocks", a Grüner Veltliner made from grapes of almost 90-year-old vines that grow on barren primary rocky soil around Röschitz.
