Falstaff Wineguide Austria/South Tyrol 2021/22

Unique, dynamic, elegant and regional - this describes the winery and its wines perfectly. The Eder family has been growing grapes in Gedersdorf, a village in the eastern Krems Valley, since 1849. The majority of the vineyards are located on the mighty loess terraces of Gedersdorf. These offer the perfect conditions for expressive Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.

The 17-hectare winery is run by brother and sister team Martin and Marina with the support of their entire family. Martin, a passionate winemaker, has been running the family business, now the seventh generation, since 2013. Marina, the creative mind and Martin's main support, joined the winery in 2017. Their characters are as different as their wines are versatile - from the classic spicy Grüner Veltliner to the powerful, expressive Zweigelt in wood. Despite new dynamics, the winery will remain true to its motto "Family, experience, innovation and tradition lead to success" in the future.
