In the 1980s, Wolfgang Zähringer was amongst Baden’s pioneers of organic viticulture. His son Fabian Zähringer has farmed the vineyards biodynamically since 2010, certified by Demeter. At Weingut Zähringer even the entry-level wines are of high caliber. The entire range is alive and coherent, and the further up the list you go, the more substance, balance and mineral notes there are. The exquisite Weissburgunder “Orange” combines tension and smoothness, the Grauburgunder “Vierlig” does the same with body and precision. The red wines have equal character. An exciting range!
