Located in the Caribbean, surrounded by nature and striving for sustainability, Corona’s private island destination is planned to open in late spring of 2022. It is striving to be the first island to receive the iconic "Blue Verified" mark by Oceanic Global. Access to the island will be limited to reduce its environmental footprint.

"Corona Island is unlike anything we've ever done before. As a brand that's so deeply connected with nature, we wanted to pay respect to and celebrate the natural environment that supplies our 100% natural ingredients," said Felipe Ambra, Global Vice President for Corona.

Corona is the latest food and beverage brand to use its name on a destination. Taco Bell made headlines two years ago with its The Bell hotel while Bud Light took over a ski town in 2014 and changed its name to “Whatever, USA” for its controversial filming campaign.

Good to know

The brand will choose Corona Island guests through different competitions in various countries. A special auction hosted by CharityBuzz will award one winner and nine guests with an all-inclusive, seven-day private island stay in 2022.
