Airplane food has been the butt of countless stand-up routines, with its reputation for being monotonous and unappetizing one of the more harmless allegations. And while first class arguably has better options, it still tends to be completely overpriced and rarely worth it. Delta Air Lines is about to change that: From December onward, first-class passengers will be able to pre-select a cheeseburger from the fast casual chain "Shake Shack" on selected long-haul flights from Boston, with further routes within the US already in the works.
