Luxury hotel in Venice auctions first night

The guests who arrive on August 27, 2021 in time for the official opening of Ca' di Dio will not be the first to occupy the new design oasis in the heart of the lagoon city. The person who wins the bid in an auction will be able to move into the hotel a week before them. It doesn't get much more exclusive than sleeping in a luxury hotel in Venice where no guest has ever stayed before. The elegant hotel uses NFT technology to auction off the first night. This is actually used for auctioning digital works of art online, i.e. images, music or videos. NFT stands for "non-fungible token" and is a kind of certificate of authenticity. With this campaign, the design oasis, which is located right next to the Arsenale art district, is demonstrating its affinity for young artists and old masterpieces.
