A long friendship cultivated between bottles and shared dreams has spawned a new chapter for Italian wine. Marchesi Frescobaldi has partnered with Marco de Grazia for one Sicily's most iconic wine projects.

There is something deeply romantic and authentic about the collaboration between Lamberto Frescobaldi and Marco de Grazia. Not a calculated business arrangement, but the fruit of 35 years of friendship, mutual esteem and shared vision. Today, that vision is taking shape in a holding that sees the Tuscan company become a minority partner in Tenuta delle Terre Nere, one of the most emblematic entities of Etna DOC.

Volcanic finesse

Founded in 2002 by De Grazia, Tenuta delle Terre Nere is much more than a winery: it is the liquid essence of Mount Etna's primordial energy, its mutability and the rough and fascinating character of its terroirs. Frescobaldi's entry does not distort, but rather enhances. The goal is to elevate the finesse of Etna's wines even further, reaching new heights without betraying the soul of the place.

The gears began to turn, first hesitantly, then enthusiastically. Our friendship became something more: a shared drive toward higher goals.

Marco de Grazia

Forged in friendship

The birth of this collaboration is interwoven with personal memories – childhood friendship, evenings spent discussing wine and dreaming big.

Marco has been a reference point for me; his energy, vision and constant search for refinement in wine have always been an inspiration.

Lamberto Frescobaldi

Into the future

The decision to invest in Mount Etna represents a significant step for Marchesi Frescobaldi, who is historically rooted in Tuscany but has held a long-standing interest in territories with a strong identity. Mount Etna, with its telluric strength and mineral elegance, is the ideal terrain for a new challenge. It's a fresh journey with a familiar friend, fueled by passion, memory and respect. On an iconic volcano that never ceases to inspire.
