Prosecco DOC Continues on the Road to Success

The protected designation of origin Prosecco DOC continued its growth in 2021, producing more than than 600 million bottles, boosted by the introduction of Prosecco DOC Rosé.

Prosecco DOC recorded further growth in 2021. The Italian protected geographic designation label had a 25%-plus increase in bottling. A total of 627.5 million bottles of Prosecco DOC were produced, 71.5 million of which were Prosecco DOC Rosé, which has been allowed to be produced under this designation of origin since the 2020 harvest.
