It's no secret that in recent years, guest needs have evolved just as much as awareness of the environment and expectations of hotels. “When lifestyles and travel habits change, the hospitality industry must adapt,” says hostess Christine Rettenwender. “With the redesign of Berghof, we have established a clear direction—from the architecture and design to the service philosophy. Our goal was to merge modern demands with our time-honored identity.” Naturally, Berghof doesn't lose its individual character or warmth in the process.
On the contrary, the revitalization—a masterpiece of collaboration—only reinforces the hotel's commitment to providing guests with a true haven of comfort. The concept is well thought-out. It harmoniously blends modernity with a sense of coziness. Thus, the ground floor, including the restaurant, dining area, and staff areas, underwent a redesign. Twenty new suites and family suites, some with a private sauna or a bathtub on the balcony, are already highlights following the renovation at Berghof. And the spa has also seen significant changes.
If you swim in the infinity pool of the Rooftop Spa, you can leave everyday life far behind. The 360° panoramic view delights the eye and allows the mind to relax. Speaking of relaxation: two quiet rooms are also available for moments of comfort. In the Finnish sauna and on the outdoor terrace, adults unwind together, while the indoor and outdoor pools boast lovingly designed areas for guests of all ages. It’s also new that external guests can now enjoy moments of well-being after the renovation at Berghof. In fact, family Rettenwender has recently started offering Day Spa packages.
Regional specialties are still served in the light-flooded panorama restaurant. The restaurant has always reflected the Connectedness with the region is reflected in the Berghof's culinary concept. Among other things, it is expressed in creative, seasonal cuisine. The panorama restaurant focuses on first-class Alpine cuisine and emphasizes this with breathtaking views aus den großen Fensterfronten. Im “Medusa” stehen innovative-Food-Sharing-Gerichte auf der Speisekarte. Und die Sonnenterrasse ist der beste Ort, um einen gemütlichen Nachmittag bei einem Gläschen Wein und feinen Schmankerln zu genießen.
Of course, it wasn't just design and comfort that were on the agenda when renovating the Hotel Berghof. Questions of sustainability also played an important role. For example, technical and energy-related renovations have reduced the consumption of resources. However, the hotel remains true to its philosophy: "My place. My piece of home" has been the Rettenwender family's motto for generations.
