Despite their proximity, there are striking differences in the glass between the vineyards of Cantina Terlan and Cantina Andrian – mainly due to fundamentally different soils. This results in great, distinctive wines, where the distinctiveness can be clearly tasted. On the Terlano side, red porphyry rocks characterize the vineyards, which rise up to 900 meters above sea level. The high mineral content and the barrenness of the soil give the wines an impressive structure and freshness. Natural longevity forms the basis for Cantina Terlan's character: authentic, great, multi-layered wines that are allowed to mature. Their focus has always been on white wine – great Pinot Blancs, Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs – but, above all, the "Terlaner", a traditional cuvée of the three varieties, which is considered the epitome of its own DNA.
