The magnificent yellow Signature building on the western shore of Lake Garda was built as early as 1888. Back then it was considered the hunting lodge of the Austrian imperial family, before the legendary Grand Hotel Fasano moved in decades later. Now it has been expanded with an XL spa.
The facility has long been cult, not only because of its unique history, but also because of its beautiful location and ever-evolving facilities. For its 135th birthday, the old castle underwent another makeover and was expanded with a brand new wellness area. The AQVA SPA 2.0 is THE new eye-catcher on Lake Garda.

On March 31, 2023, the Grand Hotel Fasano not only kicked off the summer season, but also celebrated the opening of the AQVA SPA 2.0. Since then, guests have been able to relax royally on 3,500 square meters.
The offer is divided into five areas, ranging from indoor and outdoor, sauna area and relaxation facilities to personal and individual treatments. In addition to a refreshing pool that connects the indoor and outdoor areas, the construction focused on new saunas. Guests have since been able to choose between the classic Finnish sauna and a Roman like herbal steam bath (Vitarium). In the Tepidarium, a hot relaxation room, you can come to rest wonderfully. If you want even more, choose one of the soothing treatments, for example from the list of Ayurvedic treatments. The Grand Hotel Fasano also offers beauty treatments.
Egal in welchem Bereich des Grand Hotel Fasano man weilt, ob im prachtvollen Park, der mit Bananenpflanzen und mediterranen Blumen geschmückt ist, oder im schlossähnlichen Innenbereich – der atemberaubend schöne Gardasee versprüht überall seinen Flair. Kein Wunder, schließlich erstreckt sich das Hotel direkt am Ufer des Sees. Dank des privaten Holzsteges kann man in Sekundenschnelle die Füße ins kühle Nass halten oder ein paar Bahnen ziehen. Von Juni bis September liegt die Wassertemperatur zwischen 18 und 20 Grad Celsius, herrlich angenehm also für eine kleine Badesession. Das schöne Gardasee-Panorama ist übrigens aus dem Spa und einem Teil der Zimmer sichtbar. Während man im Norden des Sees noch die Ausläufer der Alpen sieht, kann man im Süden schon das Mittelmeer erahnen. Das milde sub-mediterrane Klima ist das ganze Jahr über zu spüren.
Even though the Grand Hotel Fasano is located in the western part of Lake Garda and is therefore in the more Mediterranean zone, Alpine chic still finds its way into the design here and there. For example in the form of robust stone walls, wooden ceilings or rustic furniture. Basically, however, the Grand Hotel Fasano speaks a more romantic language when it comes to the interior, with ornate beds featuring floral details and baroque seating. The wall design with ornaments and golden details is also reminiscent of the hotel's history.
Italienische Küche ist nicht gleich italienische Küche – das wird im Grand Hotel Fasano deutlich. In den vier Restaurants spielen die traditionell-regionalen Spezialitäten zwar die Hauptrolle, allerdings werden sie je nach Lokalität auf andere Art und Weise umgesetzt.Ganz ursprünglich wird im Magnolia gekocht, neben Focaccia und Caprese kommen hier verschiedene Pasta- und tierische Gerichte auf den Teller. Ähnlich wie im La Darsena, wo schmackhafte Pizzen, Pasta, Fleisch und gegriller Fisch zubereitet werden. Frischen Fisch gibt es auch im Il Pescatore. Experimenteller geht es im Il Fagiano zu, hier bringt Küchenchef Maurizio Bufi mediterrane Köstlichkeiten auf kreative Art und Weise zusammen.
